Allan Böhm, MD, MSc, PhD, MBA, FESC, FJCS studied medicine at Charles University in Prague and clinical research at Oxford University. He worked in the Department of Acute Cardiology at the National Institute for Heart and Vascular Diseases and teaches at the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University, Bratislava. In addition to clinical medicine, his research interests include cardiovascular prevention, thrombosis, arrhythmias and artificial intelligence, for which he has received several international awards. In 2015 he founded the biomedical organisation Premedix Academy. In 2017, he was approached by the European Society of Cardiology to co-found the Commission for Digital Medicine, through which he discovered the first seeds of precision medicine in the world. He then brought this form of medicine to Slovakia and the Premedix Clinic was established. In 2020, Dr Böhm became the first Slovak ever to be elected to the presidency of the European Society of Cardiology, making him the youngest member of the world's largest cardiology society.

Tomáš Pavlík, MD, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University. He currently works as a specialist at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at the National Institute of Heart and Vascular Diseases in Bratislava. In this field she has a special interest in valvular defects and echocardiographic examination, including transesophageal (TEE).

Tereza Hlavatá, MD, graduated from the Medical Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava. After graduation, she worked at the III Internal Medicine Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine and at the Medical University of Bratislava, where she also taught undergraduate medical students. She currently works as a cardiologist at the Department of Adult Congenital Heart Defects at the National Institute of Heart and Vascular Diseases in Bratislava and teaches at the Medical University of Slovakia. In addition to treating patients with adult congenital heart defects, he also deals with pulmonary hypertension and valvular heart disease.
MUDr. IVAN VARGA, PhD.

Ivan Varga, MD, PhD, after graduating from the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University (LFUK) with a degree in General Medicine, worked at the III. Clinic of Internal Medicine at the University Hospital in Bratislava and later at the Department of Heart Failure and Transplantation at the National Institute of Heart and Vascular Diseases in Bratislava. In 2010 he defended his PhD thesis at the LFUK, in 2012 he obtained the certificate in cardiology and in 2015 the European certificate in heart failure. He last worked at St. Michael's University Hospital in Bratislava in the Department of Functional Diagnostics, where he was mainly involved in echocardiography. His current interests, apart from heart failure, are in the field of preventive cardiology with the use of nutritional support (diet, nutraceuticals) and healthy lifestyle in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Marián Štrbák, MD, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava in 2010. He works at the University Hospital and Polyclinic of the Brothers of Charity in Bratislava. He completed his specialist training in endocrinology in 2016. He is a member of the Slovak Society of Endocrinology and the European Society of Endocrinology. He has attended several postgraduate courses in clinical endocrinology abroad. He specialises in thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal diseases.

Katarína Danterová, MD, PhD, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at UPJŠ in Košice in 2006. She was certified in neurology in 2011 and completed her doctoral studies at the Medical Faculty of Charles University in Bratislava. She worked at the II. Neurological Clinic of the Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague and UNB Kramáre and the Neurological Clinic of the Medical Faculty of SZU Ružinov, where she also worked as an assistant professor in undergraduate and postgraduate education. In her clinical work she specialised in extrapyramidal diseases (especially Parkinson's disease, dystonia, tremor), and she also participated in clinical studies of various neurological diseases. Later she worked in a private neurological clinic in Pezinok, where she dealt with the whole spectrum of neurological diseases - neurodegenerative diseases and dementia, headache, including biological treatment of migraine, polyneuropathy, seizure disorders, vertebrogenic diseases, dizziness, stroke.

Subsequently, she started to work in the field of radiology with a primary focus on oncodiagnostics.

Marek Makovník, MD, works as a specialist in diagnostic and interventional radiology at the Department of Radiology at the National Cancer Institute in Bratislava, where he specialises mainly in oncoradiology with an emphasis on differential diagnosis using examination modalities such as X-ray (scatography, skiascopy), ultrasound (and histology of pathological lesions using ultrasound navigation), mammography, computer tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound (and histology of pathological lesions using ultrasound navigation), mammography, computed tomography (and histology of pathological lesions using CT navigation) and magnetic resonance imaging, and the treatment of oncological diseases using minimally invasive interventional radiology procedures (radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, cryoablation). In his practice, he is part of a multidisciplinary team of experts in surgery, oncology and radiotherapy. At the same time, as a senior radiologist, he is involved in several clinical trials focusing on the treatment of resistant cancers.
MUDr. SIMONA ŠPESOVÁ

Simona Špesová, MD, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava in 2012. After graduation, she worked for a short time at the Radiology Department of the National Institute for Childhood Diseases in Bratislava, where she dealt with the diagnosis of diseases in patients up to 18 years of age. Then, in 2013, she joined the Radiology Department of the National Cancer Institute in Bratislava as a radiologist, where she still works today. In 2018, she completed a five-year specialisation in radiology. During her many years of practice, she has specialised in the field of oncoradiology, where she focuses on the differential diagnosis of mainly oncological diseases, working closely in a multidisciplinary team of experts from the fields of surgery, oncology and radiotherapy. Her daily work involves the interpretation of studies using a wide range of imaging modalities, including radiography (skiagraphy, skiascopy), ultrasound of various organ systems, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. She also performs mammodiagnostic procedures at a specialised endpoint, focusing on mammographic and sonographic breast examinations, magnetic resonance imaging of the breast and interventional procedures for breast lesions.

Diana Ševčíková, MD, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Bratislava. She gained rich practical experience while working at the in-patient department of internal medicine in Trnava, where she also obtained her certificate in internal medicine. She worked in all its components - general ward, metabolic and coronary unit and central reception. In recent years she has focused on patients with diseases of the digestive tract, functional disorders, celiac disease and histamine intolerance.

Jerguš Kocour, MD, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava. After graduation, he was employed at the Department of Hand Surgery, where he gained extensive experience in this field. In 2021 he was certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery. His main focus is on hand surgery and reconstructive surgery, including extensive replantation procedures. The aim is to restore the full function of the limb and improve the quality of life for patients with even the most severe diseases and injuries of the hand.
MUDr. BARBORA KAŠPEROVÁ

Barbora Kašperová, MD, graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava. Since graduation she has been working at the Clinic of Oncohematology at the National Cancer Institute in Bratislava, where she is certified in the field of haematology and transfusion medicine. As part of her PhD studies, she is interested in microbiome changes in haemato-oncology patients during bone marrow transplantation. In addition to her work, she is interested in functional dyspeptic disorders and has attended several international courses for physicians on the syndrome of bacterial and fungal overgrowth in the intestine (SIBO, SIFO).
MUDr. BARBORA DOBIAŠOVÁ
MUDr. Barbora Dobiašová graduated in General Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Bratislava and after graduation in 2011 she started her work at the Masaryk Cancer Institute in Brno. She received her certification in Clinical Oncology in 2018 at Charles University in Prague. During her almost eight years abroad, she has also gained knowledge in Artificial Nutrition and Metabolic Care and holds a functional license F016. In her oncology practice, she has also partly dealt with the issue of cancer prevention. For several years she was involved in the field of palliative medicine in the inpatient Hospice of St. Elisabeth in Brno. Since 2019, she has been working at the National Cancer Institute in Bratislava, where she specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and is also involved in the care of palliative patients. Since 2020 she is enrolled in attestation training in Palliative Medicine.
